Governor Umar Namadi has been described as a leader who is also making efforts to ensure that Jigawa state is becomes an exemplary domain for the electorates to benefit from democratic devidends under his stewardship. He stated this in an interview with our correspondent, JABIRU A HASSAN In Dutse, Excerpts :
You are known for supporting the Jigawa state governor for a long time, why are you still solidly behind him?
Basiru Optimistic : I am happy meet this historic newspaper that circulates across this great country, and my support to his excellency malam Umar Namadi Dan Modi is from God who inserted him into my heart. He is a good person who also takes thing easy and simple. I am of the opinion that Malam Umar Namadi would continue to become a blessing in our state for his good foresight.
You always promotes him whenever you have an interactive sessions with journalists, is this a sponsored projects?
Basiru Optimistic: In politics of nowadays it is about competency and delivery. That is why I remained behind malam Umar Namadi because he is a resourceful leader who is acting satisfactorily. I am certain that our state would develop and become one of the best by the end of his tenure.
What can you say about the nappointments being done by the governor?
Basiru Optimistic: All the appointees were selected based on merit, and I am Optimistic that they would deliver and in accordance with their positions. I am very much happy with the way our able governor is making his appointments so as to have a most formidable government in Jigawa state.
You are not assigned to any role officially, wold you continue protecting the images of Namadi administration?
Basiru Optimistic: Yes…., I would continue promoting my governor. He is my best and my contribution to his success as governor would be a continuous programme and I am even planning to expand my project of public enlightenment about his success stories.
What is your message to the people of Jigawa State?
Basiru Optimistic: I am calling on the good people of Jigawa State to continue supporting the administration of his excellency malam Umar Namadi Dan Modi. The governor is planning big for our state and from what is being seen Jigawa state would develop in every sector.
In conclusion, I am calling on my colleagues, the Youths to play politcs of development and progress, democracy is now getting full recognition in Nigeria, we have to work with unity and selfless services in order to makes our state more relevant in development.
