UNILAG: Five faculties produce 104 top notch graduates

The University of Lagos was established in 1962. It has three Campuses in Yaba and Surulere. While two of its Campuses are situated in Yaba (the primary grounds in Akoka and the as of late made grounds at the previous School of Radiography), its College of Medicine is situated in Idi-Araba, Surulere. It is amazing that all the three grounds are situated in the Mainland of Lagos. Its primary grounds is to a great extent encompassed by the picturesque perspective on the Lagos tidal pond on 802 sections of land of land in Akoka, North Eastern piece of Yaba.

To less than 104 understudies of the resources of Arts, Environmental Science, Science, Education and Social Science sacked five star degrees from the University of Lagos in Akoka, Lagos State, amid the principal day of the college’s 50th conference.

They rose up out of the 12,811 understudies who will move on from the school this year.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of UNILAG’s Governing Council, Dr Wale Babalakin, adulated the graduands.

He stated, “Be pioneers in your fields, the base is constantly packed, so abstain from being at the base. Your degree isn’t simply to procure a living yet in addition to have the capacity to add to improving society.”

Giving the breakdown of the graduands, UNILAG Vice-Chancellor, Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, said 3,795 understudies from the five faculties were met with first degrees.

As indicated by him, the three-day function will come full circle in 7,438 understudies packing first degrees and 5,405 postgraduate degrees.

Additionally, at the service, a 77-year-old female retiree packed away a first degree in Guidance and Counseling. The retiree, who demanded talking on state of secrecy, was among the 1,008 understudies who moved on from the Faculty of Education.

After tremendous weight from columnists to talk, she stated, “I am most thankful to God who made me see this day as I have understood my fantasy. I am grieved, I won’t make reference to my name since I know what I am accustomed to and what I am securing.
