VGN Condoles Borno State Government, Urged FG To Includes Community policing In Fighting Insecurity

The Vigilante group of Nigeria VGN has condole the government and people of Borno state over the recent killings of 43 rice farmers at Zabarmani location and called on the federal government to engage community policing in the war against insecurity in Nigeria.
In a press statement signed and issued to our correspondent by the Commander-General of the group, Retired Navy Captain A.B. Umar Bakori, the group disclosed that ” VGN is deeply shock with what had happened to the rice farmers despites the federal government’s efforts to secure lives and properties of Nigeria’s citizens, and the organisation wish to condole the government and the people of Borno state on the killings of innocent farmers”.
The statement therefore implored the federal government of Nigeria to engage the members of VGN in order to assist the security agencies in confronting the breach of security so as to restore peace and economic progress across Nigeria, where the group commended it’s members for being in selfless and voluntary services that is being recognised by the citizens of all categories.
In conclusion, the Commander-General solicit more cooperation between the group and the security agencies in order to ensure team work at both rural and urban settlements, where he finally assured that VGN would continue to serve the people as a voluntary security organisation.
