Why I Can’t Join APC – Wike

Former Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike has said that he has no plan of joining the ruling All Progressives Congress.

This is coming after he and a sitting Peoples Democratic Party Governor, Seyi Makinde of Oyo state; and a PDP Chieftain and former governor of Delta state, James Ibori, visited President Bola Tinubu at the presidential villa on Friday, June 2.

When asked if his defection to APC was on the agenda for the meeting, Wike said answered “No”, adding that he attended the meeting to show support for the new president.

He said;

“No. No plans. Nothing like that in the offing. We are Nigerians and we have come to give the president support. That is what is required. There is no big deal about that.”
