Christians students, mostly female who are schooling in some parts of kano state are putting on hijabs covering their body despite heat on daily basis, a victim has revealed.

A female students who was promised anonymity made the revelations in an exclusive chat with our Correspondent at motor park in kaduna state.

The lady who was en-rout to Kano to resume in her school she pleaded not to disclosed the name, explained that all of them have to imbibe the culture to avoid any temptation of an attacks by irate youths Islamic fantastics.

She said the school authorities did not imposed it on any students, but they, on their own decided to be putting on hijabs to appear like them for self protection against any eventuality, and not because they like it.

On whether any of their Christian colleagues have been harassed or treated differently or badly for not wearing it, she declined comment reluctantly.

“Because of fear of the inhabitants, we all decided to buy and be wearing it and posed like one”, she added, saying hijabs became more pronounced on or before the closure of schools for Ramadan.

“When I was in village, told my parents. Some say I should stop going to school there but some said I should be going that only God can protect. They even ask me if I go to their prayer place but I said no, they couldn’t believe me for seen the hijabs. They queried me for saying we wear it when going out to buy things”, she stated.

Findings revealed that most of the christian students schooling in some Muslims dominated states are allegedly living in fear, and are there not for their own wish but for lacks of admissions and affordability.

Recalled that a Christian female students popularly known as Deborah was killed by Muslim youth mob for alleged blasphemy while a kaduna christian journalists, accused of blasphemy was threatened by colleagues previous years for reposting video conversation of the son of Islamic leader of Hamas, on prophet Mohammed.
