In a determined effort to strengthen security in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Minister Nyesom Wike has issued directives to establish two new divisional police stations in the Gwagwalada community. The directive aims to fortify the presence of law enforcement and curb criminal activities in the area.

During the second town hall meeting on security held in the Gwagwalada Area Council, Wike announced upcoming allocations of new operational vehicles and communication gadgets to police stations across the six area councils. This strategic move is intended to empower security agencies and bolster their operational capabilities within the territory.

Wike, underscoring the commitment to ensuring safety, revealed that informants linked to kidnappers had already been apprehended. He issued a stern warning to criminals, expressing unequivocal determination to drive them out of Gwagwalada.

Addressing the community, Wike declared, “Criminals should get ready; their time has come. You all know that if I say something, I will do it. I and the security agencies will pursue you until you will not come near Gwagwalada again.”

To facilitate immediate action, Wike instructed the representative of the Commissioner of Police present to ensure the prompt establishment of two additional police stations in Gwagwalada, emphasizing that this is a critical security matter.

Furthermore, he assured that by the following week, police stations in all six area councils would receive additional vehicles and communication gadgets, reinforcing the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the Federal Capital Territory.
