Grammy-winning artist Wizkid has shared his admiration for fellow musicians in a recent Instagram story, revealing that Asake, Rema, and ODUMODUBLVCK are his favorite artists at the moment. The acknowledgment comes as these artists achieve significant milestones in their respective careers in 2023.

Asake, known for his string of hits, notably extended his success with the release of his sophomore album ‘Work Of Art’ in 2023. One of the album’s singles, ‘Amapiano,’ featuring Olamide, even earned a 2024 Grammy nomination for Best African Song Performance.

Rema, another standout in the industry, has garnered unprecedented international success with his single ‘Calm Down,’ featuring Selena Gomez. The song clinched accolades at prestigious award ceremonies such as the 2023 MTV VMAs & EMAs and the 2023 Billboard Music Awards.

Rapper ODUMODUBLVCK has emerged as a breakout sensation in 2023, contributing to the revitalization of Nigerian Hip Hop. His hit single ‘Declan Rice’ achieved international acclaim, securing him the 2023 Headies award for best rap song. Additionally, his mixtape ‘Eziokwu’ has received both critical and commercial acclaim.

Bloody Civilian has also made waves in 2023 with her EP ‘Anger Management,’ and its remix version has been warmly received by audiences.
