Woman Arrested by Lagos Police for Allegedly Bathing Husband with Hot Water

The Lagos State Police Command apprehended Dorcas Oluwabukola for reportedly pouring hot water on her husband in the Meiran area of the state, suspected of infidelity.

An anonymous police source from the Meiran division revealed that once the investigation is complete, the suspect, Dorcas Oluwabukola, will be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department.

The incident, which occurred approximately five days ago, gained attention on various social media platforms. Reports suggested that the wife was upset when her husband attended a childhood friend’s wedding without her, leading to a confrontation and the alleged crime.

The police source assured the public that a thorough investigation would be conducted, and they are closely monitoring the husband’s progress as he remains hospitalized since the incident.

The source stated, “It is true the incident happened. The incident happened about six days ago. It was a true story. She poured hot water on her husband purposely because she felt that he cheated on her.”

“We arrested the wife immediately because that is a capital offence. There is no option for bail. We are waiting for the appropriate time for us to move the case to the state CID.”

As of the report filing, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, was not available for comment.
