As the world celebrate peace international day, the National President Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria, Pastor Yohanna Buru has honour 3 kaduna community for the sustenance of peace and unity in the state.
Pastor Buru, said the three communities, which includes kurmin mashi, Barakallaahu and Dan quarter, remained the best and most peaceful communities in the state ,as there have been any kinds of Crises in the areas.
According to him despite the ethno-religious political crises that has affected peace and stability in the state ,” Kurmin –Mashi -community ,Barakallahu and Down quarters remains united as one”.
He said, these communities deserved more than award for the commitment and dedication toward promoting peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians in the communities.
Buru said, awarding the communities became mandatory in view of the Various role been played by their traditional title holders and religious clerics with youth and women organization in promoting peace building and preventing all forms of violence.
“If all kaduna communities could be like Kurmin mashi-, Barakallu and Down-quarters, there would be peace and development.
“These communities deserved to be a role model to all the communities in the state”, he said.The Cleric called on kaduna state Governor and other peace ambassadors to encourage other communities to emulate this kind of settlement (Muslims-Christian-communities) so as to unite the people in the state.
Buru pointed that the previous crisis in state has caused a serious setback to peace stability in the state, hence the need to encourage other communities in the state to emulate from these peace communities. “We must remember that were one family under God, and we are brothers and sisters”, and we “must learn to live together in peace and harmony with every one.
Responding the district head of Kurmin –mashi Alhaji Abdullahi Rabo expressed satisfaction for awarding the community as one the best in the state that encourage peaceful co-existence in the state, saying that it’s a collective responsibility to keep communities in peace and harmony.He stressed that they have been living in peace for many years because of the better understanding among the people of the community.
Also responding, the district head of kaduna –down-quarters Alhaji Danjuma-musa said “Our joy is to maintain peace and unity among the people in the community, adding that uniting the people is what they dedicate their lives to do.
World Peace international day is usually celebrated on the 21th of September every year which over 150 country across the planet usually participated.
