Yuletide Security: NSCDC Deploys Over 2,000 Personnel For Safety In Kogi

From Noah Ocheni, Lokoja

The Commandant of Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Suleiman I Ibrahim Mafara said in Lokoja that over two thousand personnel of the corps have been deployed for a hitch free yuletide season.

Commandant Mafara said possible flash points have been identified across the State with men of the Command Strike Force, deployed to nip crime and criminality in the bud.

According to him, the Command is also in synergy with Sister agencies for a safer Kogi State before, during and after the festive season.

The NSCDC Boss attributed the relative peace and successes recorded in the State to collaboration among security agencies and the unflinching support received from Governor Yahaya Bello.

The State Commandant urged the people of the State to partner with the Corps through information sharing and intelligence report about criminal activities to help in addressing seemingly security challenges.

He said the NSCDC has fare well in terms of logistics, welfare and combat readiness under the leadership of the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi who has reposition the Corps for maximum output.
