2023: 45yr- old Sokoto man sets to declare for president

A Sokoto and Kaduna based business man who’s an expert in crimes management and trans-border terrorism, Comrade Sani Usman Rilwan is set to declare his presidential ambition for the 2023 Nigeria presidential election.

Comrade Sani Rilwan made the disclosure in statement issued, signed and made available to journalists in Kaduna weekend titled: “Countdown to my presidential ambition and declaration”.

Originating from the Torankawa linage in Sokoto state, Sani Rilwan who was born and raised in Kaduna state is currently the President, Nigeria Union of Fisherman And Sea Food Dealers (NUFAS), the only recognized registered fishermen body by the Government in Nigeria.

A staunch member of a political body under the platform of Young Progressive Party (YPP), Comrade Rilwan is urging everyone to Join hands with him to make a unique history for the rapid and peaceful development, prosperity and well being of Nigeria, that their children yet unborn would be proud of us.

“It’s my pleasure to write this piece of press statement to formally inform you today on a very important mission about my personal political ambition and intention to contest the Nigeria Presidential election in 2023.

“The triple question that maybe agitating the mind of those who are familiar with me now perhaps could be: “Who is this nonentity, where’s he coming from and what’s his pedigree?

“Before I go into the nitty gritty about my ambition, I wish to crave your indulgence and kind permission to give you a brief about my humble self many of you may not be privileged to know.

“Indeed, my background or history, soon to be released, in this statement may not only shocked you but might as well served as a guide for you to know the stuff made of me”, he stated.

He also stated that “As some of you maybe aware, my names are Sani Usman Rilwan. My peers calls me Didi. Originally from Dange Shun local government area of Sokoto state Northwest Nigeria.

“It’s also a privilege to humbly inform you that I also have a link to the royal home, the Sultanate council in Sokoto state. Although i was born on the 12th September 1976, brought up in Tudun Wada in Kaduna North LGA of Kaduna state, of Nigeria, and married with children. In summary, I originated from the Torankawa Linage in Sokoto, born and raised in Kaduna state”, he also stated.

Comrade Rilwan continue that “Educationally, I’ve acquired a lots of knowledge. Specifically, I have a Diploma in Crime Management Studies and also possessed certificate in leadership skills, management, and Trans-border terrorism. I have attended various courses and seminars both at home and abroad.

“I started my private practice career as fish merchant, car dealer including general transportation activities at my years. These efforts culminated into formation of private companies which till date, I am the Chairman Mafara Haja Nigeria limited and Chairman Didi Fine Country.

“Currently I’m also the president, Nigeria Union of Fisherman And Sea Food Dealers (NUFAS) which is the only recognized registered fishermen body by the Government.

“As part of my activities, I am currently the secretary, Join Registered National Associations of Nigeria (JORNAN).

“Member Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Force Headquarters, Abuja; Member, Nigeria Shippers Council, Kaduna State Chapter; member, Global Sea food Dealers, Boston Massachusetts USA; Also member of the followings:

International Institute of Professional Security (MIIPS), Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Economic and Human Development practitioners Association of Nigeria (EHDPN).

“I started active politics when I joined all Nigerian people’s party (ANPP) in the year 1998. And in November 1998 I was nominated a member of Alhaji (Dr.) Mohammed Mahmud Campaign Committee.

“I was responsible for the campaign and winning of the election of (Dr.) Mohammed Mahmud as member Kaduna State House of Assembly in the 1999 general election. Dr. Mohammad Mahmud is currently the Honorable minister of Environment, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“I continued to remain within the ANPP folds during its long period of existence and various metamorphoses from ANPP to CPC and now to APC.

“At the party level, I actively participated at the party’s various activities and committees both at the local, state and national levels. Among others, I actively participated in the campaign and election activities that saw the victory of Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai as Governor of Kaduna State both in 2015 and 2019 general elections. I was nominated the Chairman Security Committee of the One-Million match gubernatorial campaign in 2015”, it added.

Sani Rilwan also stated that his radical and critical posture, position about the societal ills and encountered with formal heads of state, military and Police chiefs among other revelations that may also interest people to known would be released during his formal declaration speech.

At the national, state and local levels i influenced peaceful campaign and voting by members across the nation, courtesy of my position as national president of the Nigeria Union of Fishermen and sea food dealers (NUFAS), and couple with wealth of experience, exposure in unionism.

I am also involved in international politics and union activities; my credentials speak volume on this assertion.

“I am 45 years old, married and blessed with children. Considering your status, position, experience, Knowledge and influence in the nation and my solemn appeal to you now, I hereby wish to formally inform you of my intention to contest for the position of the President Federal Republic of Nigeria in the 2023 general election by God grace, under the platform of Young progressive party (YPP), come 2023.

Sir, I count on your desired support, blessing, prayers, assistance and co-operation to aid actualize my noble effort in becoming the youngest elected president federal republic of Nigeria.

“Let’s Join hand and make a unique history for the rapid and peaceful development, prosperity well being of Nigeria, that our children yet unborn will be proud of us”, it stated.
