Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has advocated power shift to the Southern part of Nigeria for equity and fairness.
Ortom gave this indication while fielding questions from Journalists at the Makurdi Airport , noting that the agitation for the separation of the country was as a result of injustices, lack of equity and fairness by successive administrations in Nigeria.
The Governor insisted that only equity and fairness would strengthened the unity of Nigeria as well as give all citizens a sense of belonging and reduce tension across the country.
Ortom who restated his resolve to speak against injustices, challenged the executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdurasheed Bawa to expose those involved in criminal activities with the view to bringing them to justice.
He contended that the media attacks on him would not stop him from advocating for justice, equity and fairness for Nigerians.
