A governorship aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic party PDP in Benue State, Dr Paul Ubwa has solicited the support of stakeholders of the party in Benue North West Senatorial District otherwise known as Zone B to enable him actualize his ambition come 2023.
Dr Ubwa assured PDP faithful of his plan to impact positively the lives of the people of the state by introducing Agricultural Mechanization, which he said is more profitable, tackle security challenge for safety of lives and property, education among others if given the mandate.
The Governorship aspirant who made the call in Makurdi disclosed that his ambition was borne out of his desire to bring development closer to the people, stressing it was pertinent for him to brief the stakeholders of the party about his aspiration.
The wife of the aspirant, Mrs Josephine Ubwa described her husband as peace loving and kind hearted person who would take Benue to an enviable heights if he becomes governor.
Mrs Ubwa averred that Ubwa has the requisite experience to add value to the state having worked within and outside the country over the years.
Also speaking, the National Official of the Party, Mr Yandev Amaabai who poured encomium on Dr Pual Ubwa for the steps he has taken, assured that at the appropriate time the party will nominate a governorship candidate who would fly the Party’s flag in the 2023 general elections.
Reacting to the rumor being peddled the round that some aspirants are parading themselves as anointed candidates of the party, Amaabai asserted that neither the Governor nor the party has anointed a person for the position.
