The lmo State Gov, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has tasked the intending Christian pilgrims of Imo State to be of good behavior and ambassadors of the state and Nigeria.

The governor made this disclosure on September 4, 2025, in Owerri, Imo State capital, during the 2025 orientation program organized by the Imo State Government in collaboration with the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission for intending Christian pilgrims for the 2025 delayed Easter Pilgrimage exercise held at the Government House Chapel, Owerri.

Zonal Coordinator of NCPC South East Zonal Office, Mrs. Nwamaka Okpara who represented the Executive Secretary of NCPC, emphasized the purpose of pilgrimage, which hinges on the spiritual upliftment and well-being of the pilgrims aimed at having an encounter with God during pilgrimage.

She urged pilgrims to conduct themselves decently in the Holy Land and to shun any tendency that would tarnish the image of Nigeria in the Holy Land.

She reiterated that the orientation program for intending Christian pilgrims remains a key component of the commission’s policy before the commencement of the airlift of intending Christian pilgrims to the Holy Land.
