The All Progressives Congress has released the names of House of Representatives aspirants marked “not cleared” in its screening exercise ahead of the party’s National Assembly primaries for the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the screening was conducted by its committees in line with established party procedures and guidelines to determine eligibility for participation in the primaries.
The affected aspirants are from Ondo State, Bauchi State, Ebonyi State, Kogi State, and Rivers State.
Among those listed as “not cleared” are Hon. Adefisoye Tajudeen (Idanre/Ifedore), Dr. Bashir Ibrahim Bello (Darazo/Ganjuwa), Hon. Idu Igariwe (Afikpo/Edda), Sanni Salau Ogembe (Okene/Ogori-Magongo), and former lawmaker Boma Goodhead (Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru).
The party did not provide reasons for the disqualification of the affected aspirants.
Meanwhile, in Katsina State, Jamila Mani, Special Assistant on Girl Child Education and Development to Governor Dikko Radda, won the APC primary for Mani/Bindawa Federal Constituency.
In Adamawa State, direct primaries for House of Representatives seats were disrupted in parts of the state after party officials failed to arrive at designated voting centres, leaving members in several wards waiting without official communication.
