Delta Assembly Speaker Emomotimi Guwor Emerges APC Candidate for Warri South-West

The All Progressives Congress has affirmed Emomotimi Dennis Guwor as its candidate for the Warri South-West State Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The affirmation exercise was conducted on Wednesday during the party’s primaries for the Delta State House of Assembly.Guwor, who was the sole aspirant for the constituency, emerged through an affirmation process conducted in line with APC guidelines and electoral regulations for unopposed candidates.

Delegates across the 10 wards in Warri South-West participated in the exercise by voting in their respective wards.The process was supervised by Returning Officer Ejiro Jamani and party officials in the local government area.

Following the collation of results in Ogbe-Ijoh, Guwor thanked party members for the confidence reposed in him, describing the affirmation as a call for continued service, accountability, and development in the constituency. He also said the exercise reflected unity within the APC in Delta State ahead of the 2027 elections.

Party stakeholders, including Thomas Ereyitomi, Commissioner Sam Oligida, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, and Bosin Ebikeme, described the exercise as peaceful and orderly. They commended party members for their participation and expressed confidence in the APC’s prospects in the constituency.
