$345,000 Fraud: Arrest Warrant Issued for Mercy Chinwo’s Manager

By  Milcah   Tanimu

A Federal High Court in Lagos has issued an arrest warrant for Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, Mercy Chinwo’s manager. This follows a request by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a $345,000 fraud case.

Court Order and EFCC’s Claims
Justice Alexander Owoeye granted the warrant after the EFCC filed an ex parte motion. The motion sought to compel Onyedikachukwu’s court appearance. EFCC counsel, Mrs. Bilikisu Buhari, explained the legal grounds for the request.

The EFCC claims Onyedikachukwu mismanaged funds. They allege he diverted royalties from Chinwo’s digital platforms and events. The amount misappropriated totals around $345,000, which was not sent to Chinwo.

Failed Attempts at Arrest
Despite multiple attempts, the EFCC has not arrested Onyedikachukwu. This failure led to the court issuing the warrant.
