The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Sokoto State Council took delivery of a brand new car donated to the union by the Sokoto State Deputy Governor,Alhaji Manir Muhammad Dan Iya.
The Director of Press to the deputy governor, Malam Aminu Abdullahi presented the Avensus silver -coloured car to the State Council Chairman, Dalhatu Abdullahi Safiyal Magori.
The event that took place at Government House Sokoto was witnessed by other executive members of the Union.
Manir Dan iya fulfilled his promise to the union with a car to facilitate their official duties.
Receiving the car keys, Chairman of the Council, Dalhatu Abdullahi Safiyal Magori commended the deputy gov.Alhaji Manir Muhammad Dan Iya for maintaining what he described as a promise fulfilled.
He further assured the deputy governor of a symbiotic relationship devoid of antagonism, adding that the media would continue to play advocacy and watchdog roles with a view to making the society workable.’
