Kaduna: Bandits demands N200m ransom for abducted network mast staff – Family

Again Bandits that kidnapped on Abuja-Kaduna Tuesday night have demanded for N200 million ransom for the abductee who’s a staff of network mass company in Kaduna.

Family source in Ungwan Baro in Sabon Tasha area of Kaduna state told our correspondent Friday evening in confidence that the bandits called them on phone, demanding for N200 ransom.

The brother known popularly known as Kefas said the bandits later turned to the office of their brother, and called them, demanding for N200 million ransom, after calling the family at one time.

The bandits had on Tuesday reportedly killed one person and kidnapped the victims on Abuja – Kaduna highway around rigana area of Kaduna- Abuja express when on their way back to Kaduna..

The bandits reportedly freed two other persons, a driver and a passenger in same vehicle, according to the brother of the kidnapped victim, but killed one apparently for resisting abduction.

Family of the kidnapped victim said their brother and the three others were returning to Kaduna from their official Abuja trip, when the ugly incident occurred.

According to him, the four person travelled to Abuja Tuesday morning in their company vehicle, adding that at 9pm when he called, his number was ringing but could not be picked.
For security reasons, the brother’s name and that of the company could not be disclosed in this report.
Contacted for clarification, the Kaduna state police command spokesman DSP Muhammed Jalige could not respond till date.
