The Benue State Governor-Elect, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia has pledged to run an inclusive administration when he assumed duty as Governor by working with all political stakeholders and political parties for faster growth of the state.
Rev Fr Alia who stated this in Makurdi shortly after receiving certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, promised to be loyal and faithful to the tenets of the country in general and Benue State in particular.
The Governor-elect assured that his Government would make a new Benue possible, explaining that the new house of assembly would make laws that will impact positively the lives of the
people.
He stated his determination to ensure that dividends of democracy get to the masses whom he said have overwhelmingly voted him and asked for prayers to enable him
succeed.
Fr Alia applauded the people of Benue State and party leadership for the confidence reposed in him.
” Today marks the beginning of a new Benue that I believe is very possible. I remain confident that the new assembly will create avenues for peace, economic growth of the state.
