The presidential election tribunal presiding judge pept Justice Haruna Tsammani has warned against sensational comments and unnecessary time-wasting applications and objections during hearing session at the tribunal.
He gave the warning during opening remarks before the commencement of the hearings on Monday at the tribunal in Abuja, saying considering the safety and interest of the country should be Paramount.
He warned against unnecessary time- wasting applications and objections to
enable the court to concentrate on substance of the case rather than unnecessary technicalities.
“As we commence hearing of the petitions, let us avoid making sensational comments. Let us consider the safety and interest of the country, that is paramount.
“We should avoid unnecessary time-wasting applications and objections so that we can look at substance of the case rather than unnecessary technicalities.
“Let us corporate with each other so that everyone will be satisfied that justice has been done”. Justice Haruna Tsammani, PEPT Presiding Justice”, he also advised.
