Following successful medical examinations, Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio and Sporting Lisbon midfielder Manuel Ugarte are poised to join Paris Saint-Germain.
At 27 years old, Spanish international Asensio will depart Real Madrid as a free agent, as his contract with the club expires later this month.
During his tenure in Madrid, Asensio achieved the remarkable feat of winning three Champions League titles over an eight-year period.
As per reports from French media, PSG is expected to pay 60 million euros ($64 million) to acquire the services of 22-year-old Uruguayan international Ugarte. The talented midfielder currently has three years remaining on his contract with Sporting Lisbon.The two arrivals come days after Lionel Messi and Sergio departed the club and coach Christophe Galtier is also leaving.
PSG have been linked with moves for the French international trio of Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez, Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Randal Kolo Muani and Borussia Moenchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram.
They are also in negotiations with Inter Milan’s Slovakia centre-back Milan Skriniar.
