The member representing Sagbama Constituency 2 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Bernard Sunday Kenebai has led chiefs, elders, youths , women groups and the good people of the constituency to thank God at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Province 1 along Sanni Abacha Expressway in Yenagoa for his third term electoral victory.
Giving his testimony at the Church Auditorium, Hon. Bernard Kenebai brimming with joy and happiness said he was in the Church when the news of his victory filtered in and he immediately approached the Pastor to break the good news to the congregation.
The Lawmaker who has been elected as the deputy majority leader of the Bayelsa 7th Assembly said he found favour from destiny helpers who took up the course of his third term election and ensured his victory.
The third term lawmaker who is a retired Colonel of the Nigerian Army thanked Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrujakpo, former Governor Henry Seriake Dickson whom he said launched him into politics in 2015, the Royal fathers, chiefs, elders, members of his campaign council, mandate 2023 stakeholders, the Chairman and members of the PDP State Working Committee and the Sagbama counterparts of the party, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Abraham Ingobere and other members of the House of Assembly for their support while thanking the Pastors and members of the Church for their prayers that granted the campaign team safe movement through the 16 communities while soliciting for votes and the conduct of election devoid of violence in the constituency.
He promised to raise the bar of service to the constituent and showered encomiums on mandate 2023 describing them as miracle workers.
At the Thanksgiving Reception held at the De-Gracioous Event Centre along Bayelsa Palm Road, Azikoro, Chairman of the Occasion, Dr. Ebiyon Young David described Hon. Bernard Kenebai as a dedicated, honest and service oriented leader.
He said the legislative arm is very central in a democratic government and need people of integrity like Hon.Kenebai to offer effective representation.
The Chairman of the occasion congratulated the good people of Sagbama Constituency 2 for re-electing Hon.kenebai for a record third term.
In their separate goodwill messages, the Commissioner for Special Project, Hon.Esinkumo Ekisa Abraham, the Director Centre for Youth Development, Ombu Okubokakpo said Hon. Kenebai is a disciplined politician that have contributed effectively to the house proceedings who always stand by his words and have touched lives positively.
They advised the good people of Sagbama Constituency 2 to support Kenebai to enable him succeed in his third term and influence more projects to the area.
Speaking on behalf of the lawmakers present at the occasion, Hon. Edwin Monday Bubou Obolo, Leader of the State Assembly who has also won a record fourth term said Kenebai is a thorough bred and a forthright leader that is rare to find who stand to be counted when it matters most.
He urged the people of Sagbama Constituency 2 to rally round Hon. Kenebai to enable him serve them better.
Speaking to Journalists at the sideline of the reception, wife of the celebrant, Mrs. Ebila Kenebai glorified God for being faithful to her husband to win a record term describing the victory as first of its kind in the constituency assuring that her husband will not betray the mandate given to him by the people.
The Amananaowei of Sagbama, HRH Magbisa Ozo was the Royal Father of the day.
The award winning Bayelsa State Cultural Troupe and other cultural groups entertained guests at the occasion while Young Best Dance Band supplied high class musical entertainment.
