DHQ Confirms Ambush in Niger State: Three Officers and 22 Soldiers Killed

The military’s top leadership has confirmed a tragic ambush in Niger State, resulting in the loss of three officers and 22 soldiers. In a press briefing held in Abuja on Thursday, Maj. Gen. Edward Buba, the Director of Media Operations, provided details of the incident, revealing that an additional seven soldiers were wounded in the attack.

Furthermore, Maj. Gen. Buba disclosed that a military aircraft involved in an evacuation mission had tragically crashed. The aircraft carried a total of 14 soldiers who had previously lost their lives, along with seven wounded soldiers, two pilots, and two crew members. The incident underscores the challenges faced by the military and the sacrifices made in the line of duty.
