In a tragic incident on Tuesday morning, a pastor from Dunamis Church lost his life in a building collapse in Benue State. The church was located in Mission Ward North Bank, Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, and the unfortunate event occurred during the early hours of Tuesday.

According to a source cited by Channels Television, four individuals, including the pastor, were inside the church building engaged in prayer before the incident took place. While the other three individuals managed to escape the collapsing structure, the pastor tragically lost his life.

The collapse of the church building also resulted in damage to nearby residential buildings and electricity infrastructure. The exact cause of this incident remains unclear at this time.

Upon being contacted, Anene Sewuese Catherine, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Benue State Police Command, reportedly stated that she was not aware of the incident. However, reports indicate that police officers from the C Division, North Bank, have already arrived at the scene, and emergency responders are on their way to the site of the collapsed building.
