“Never been this afraid of my country” – Comedian AY’s wife, Mabel Makun, laments

By Milcah Tanimu

Mabel Makun, the wife of comedian Ayo Makun, expressed her concerns about the current state of the country. She specifically pointed out the negative impact of the exchange rate on businesses, emphasizing that increasing prices are taking a toll on people. Mabel highlighted how the cost of living has risen to the point where an average person can’t even afford a loaf of bread. She also mentioned parents turning to home tutors as school fees become unmanageable. Mabel, like many other celebrities, questioned the way forward in addressing the economic challenges faced by Nigerians.
