Kidnappers Abduct Catholic Priest in Taraba State

In Taraba State, suspected kidnappers have abducted a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Thaddeus Tarhembe. The incident was confirmed by John Jerome Laikei, the Communication Officer of the Catholic Diocese of Wukari, in an official statement.

The abduction took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 29, 2023, within his parish at Saint Ann’s Parish, Sarkin Kudu, located in the Ibi Local Government Area of the state.

The statement has urged residents to keep the priest in their prayers for his safe return.

The state Police Command’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Usman, also confirmed the incident.
