In a recent development, the Court of Appeal in Abuja has upheld the tribunal’s ruling, confirming Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress as the rightful winner of the governorship election.

Justice Oluyemi Osadebay, leading the tribunal, invalidated Governor Abba Yusuf’s election by declaring 165,663 of his votes as invalid. The tribunal cited the absence of signatures and stamps from the Independent National Electoral Commission on these ballot papers.
