Bella Okagbue Defends Phyna Over N5 Million Offer Rejection Controversy

Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ housemate, Bella Okagbue, has come to the defense of her co-star and friend, Phyna, who faced skepticism after revealing that she turned down a N5 million offer for sex. In the latest episode of her podcast, Phyna shared the incident where a male fan made the offer at a nightclub, and she declined, even offering to gift him the money by asking for his account number.

Facing disbelief from some quarters, Bella Okagbue took to her Twitter account to defend Phyna. She attributed the skepticism to poverty, stating that people often think it’s a lie when they can’t afford certain things, emphasizing that N5 million is just a flight ticket for many.

Responding to the disbelief, comedian Dee One challenged Phyna and asked for proof. Phyna, in turn, labeled him as gay, and Dee One confirmed it while recounting a scandalous affair involving Phyna’s father.

Phyna has been no stranger to controversies, facing challenges with her family, brand deals, and online trolling. Recently, she addressed the accusations of failing to return a rented wig, expressing weariness at constant online criticism and attributing the issues to her team. The controversies have taken a toll, with Phyna revealing she lost 17 brand deals between 2022 and 2023 due to social media scandals.
