“Peter Obi Calls for Probe Into N3.5 Billion Scandal in Labour Party”

By Daniel Edu

Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, has called for a thorough investigation into alleged financial impropriety involving the National Chairman, Julius Abure. During a media briefing on Thursday, Obi emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in the party’s finances. The National Working Committee suspended National Treasurer Oluchi Oparah for six months, citing her as a mole causing disaffection within the party. Obi urged support groups, individuals, or parties that received campaign funding to provide an account of the funds received. The party aims to address the allegations through a comprehensive audit and reconciliation process.
