Kogi Govt Decries Slow Pace Of Odenyi-Oguma-Sheria Road Project

The Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Engr Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf has expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of work on the Odenyi -Oguma- Sheria road and bridge construction project.

Engr. Yusuf made the observation at Oguma in Bassa local government area of the state expressed dissatisfaction with the level of work during an inspection visit of the project.

Hon. Yusuf frowned at the unprofessionalism and lackadaisical attitude on the part of the contractor which according to him has stalled the construction for a long time.

He therefore charged the contractor to expedite action in completing the project before the rainy season.

Hon Yusuf emphasized the commitment of the state government and the determination of governor Usman Ahmed Ododo to deliver on its promises of alleviating the sufferings of the people in the area.

On his part, the Transition Chairman, of Bassa Local Government, Mr Theophilus Adama who appreciated the state government for the project berated the slow pace of work and appealed to the government to facilitate the completion of the project.

Also, an indigene of the area, Comrade Dangara Daniel commended the state government for the visit and requested the government to intensify efforts towards the completion of the project soon.
