Mabel Confirms the End of Her Marriage to Comedian AY

Mabel Makun has officially confirmed the impending divorce of her marriage to comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY.

AY recently took to social media to express that his two-decade friendship/marriage with his wife, Mabel, was slipping away.

In a statement shared on her Instagram page, Mabel acknowledged the marital turmoil.

She expressed that her vision of a lifelong union has “taken a different turn.”

The statement read in part, “Though my aspirations for a lifelong marriage have shifted, I am determined to move forward with grace and resilience. I hold onto hope for a brighter future for myself and the children. Despite the speculations and judgments, I take solace in the belief that all will be well.

“While this outcome is unexpected, I humbly seek guidance from my faith as I embark on this new phase of life. As we navigate through this transition, I appeal for your support in fostering an environment of respect and empathy.

“This is undoubtedly a challenging time, and I kindly request privacy and understanding as we (my ex-husband and I) chart our separate paths forward.”
