Ahead of upcoming historic event slated for May 2, 2024, Search for Common Ground Nigeria (SFCGN), in collaboration with other stakeholders dedicated to peace-building in the state, enjoined all religious faith based leaders to join in the inaugural Kaduna interfaith Dialogue (KID).

In support of the above, a Kaduna based media network, otherwise known as Network of Peace Journalists (NPJ), has launched a widespread media campaign aimed at rallying round all faith leaders in the state to participate in the event organized by (SFCGN).

This initiative, according to the media Networks, is seeking to promote religious tolerance, peace, and unity in the state.

A statement issued and signed by team leader of NPJ, Ibrahima Yakubu, and made available to newsmen Sunday, stated that KID stands as a beacon of hope, in fostering understanding, tolerance, and unity among people of different religions in the state.

“This workshop for religious leaders in the state offers a pivotal opportunity to strengthen relations and offer solutions to mitigate future crises related to ethno-religious tensions,” said Yakubu.

The statement added that the upcoming KID acts as a powerful catalyst for building bridges of understanding, tolerance, and unity among people of different faiths. It serves as a beacon of hope in a world where religious diversity can be a source of richness and tension.

He stressed that the event would pave way for a more harmonious and interconnected world — one where diverse beliefs can coexist in peace and cooperation.

The statement highlighted that the KID brings together individuals from various religious backgrounds to engage in respectful and empathetic conversations; adding that the event provides a platform for sharing beliefs, values, and experiences while fostering genuine understanding.

The event scheduled as planned for May 2, 2024, signifies a crucial step towards promoting harmony and cooperation in Kaduna and beyond.
