The passing out ceremony of the 2023 Batch B stream 1 of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Akwa Ibom State, is holding this Thursday.
Anselem M. Udogwu, the Public Relations Officer of the NYSC in the state, says the event will be holding across the country this Thursday.The passing out programme will be low key as it will be devoid of the usual parade which sees the governor of the state or his representative taking salute as the corps members march past the saluting diais.
However, the deserving corps members are expected to collect their Certificates of National Service in their respective local government areas.
A total of 1,349 corps members made up of 573 males and 776 females are expected to end their one year national service in this stream.In Akwa Ibom, the NYSC Coordinator, Okun Christopher, will monitor the passing out ceremony in selected local government areas of the state alongside other management staff of the scheme.
In the same vein, Christopher, the state coordinator wishes to thank the government and good people of Akwa Ibom for their hospitality and show of love to the corps members as their services lasted while praying for their safe returns to their respective destinations.
