Youths Can Be Self Reliance Through Entrepreneurship in Kogi – Ojn

The special adviser on youths and students matters in kogi state comrade oladele john nihi (ojn) on monday in lokoja charged youths in the state to embrace ventures that could make them self reliance in the society.

Comrade nihi gave the charge at the ojn annual symposium 2024 ,with the theme: “Youth entrepreneurship and empowerment,” held at glass house, government house lokoja.

He pointed out that the present situation in the country should pose a challenge for the youths to put their god’s gift talent into use so as to overcome socio economic challenges in the society.

The special adviser stressed that the high level of unemployment in nigeria today is at alarming rate adding that the only solution is for the youths to embrace entrepreneurship to fast track their being employer of labour.

He therefore commended the kogi state governor, alhaji ahmed usman ododo for the revolution of agricultural sector at the local government level towards encouraging the youths to be engaged in food production in the state.

According to the special adviser, the principal role of the youths in this direction is that they’ve been entrusted to monitor the process and probably harvest for marketing.

Comrade nihi who pointed out that the governor has directly connected communities in the state with global world agriculturally, therefore
Encourage young people to embrace the current challenges by keeping themselves busy on the farms.

Earlier a lecturer, dr. Oladele peters noted that the socio- economic development of any nation cannot witness growth without the economic development of the youths.

He therefore enjoined the youths to be courageous, ready to take risk and ensure to maintain their integrity to defend the practice and status while embracing entrepreneurship.
