Innoson CEO Urges Patience and Support for Tinubu’s Administration Amid Protests

By   Milcah    Tanimu

Innocent Chukwuma, CEO of Innoson Motors, has called on Nigerians to exercise patience and support President Bola Tinubu’s administration during these challenging times. Chukwuma made these remarks following his visit to Tinubu at the presidential villa, amidst ongoing nationwide protests over the rising cost of living and economic difficulties.

The protests, which have led to violence and property destruction, prompted Chukwuma to publicly voice his confidence in Tinubu’s leadership. He believes that, with patience, Nigerians will see positive changes under Tinubu’s guidance.

Chukwuma emphasized the importance of preserving public infrastructure and expressed trust in the government’s commitment to improving the nation’s future. He highlighted the difference between the current administration and previous ones, noting that while past leaders failed to manage oil revenues effectively, this administration is actively working towards progress despite financial challenges.

In his visit, Chukwuma also discussed Innoson Motors’ advancements in compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles. He revealed that Innoson has been pioneering CNG technology in Nigeria for the past two years and is in collaboration with the government to expand its presence. Chukwuma assured that CNG buses will soon be on the roads, a move he sees as transformative for the country’s transport sector.

The federal government’s push for CNG adoption follows President Tinubu’s announcement to end fuel subsidies and invest in CNG-powered vehicles. The government has since waived VAT on CNG bus purchases and is encouraging agencies to switch to CNG vehicles, with the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency recently signing an MoU to convert its fleet.

Chukwuma’s message is clear: patience and support are crucial as Nigeria navigates these tough times, and the benefits of new initiatives like CNG will soon become evident.
