Speaker Abbas Saddened by Deaths of 40 Maulud Participants in Kaduna Accident

 

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., has extended his condolences to the Tijjaniyya Movement and the families of 40 members who tragically died in a road accident while traveling to a Maulud Nabiy event in Kaduna State.

The accident occurred when a bus carrying the participants collided with a truck in Lere town, Kaduna State. The group was traveling from Kwandari, Plateau State, to Saminaka for the religious event.

In his statement, Speaker Abbas expressed his heartbreak over the loss of life, sending prayers to the victims’ families and the Tijjaniyya Movement. He also called for heightened road safety awareness to prevent future tragedies, urging road safety agencies to intensify campaigns across Nigeria.

The Speaker prayed for the deceased to be granted Jannatul Firdaus and extended his sympathy to the governments of Kaduna and Plateau states during this difficult time.
