Nigerian superstar Ayra Starr has reached a significant milestone by hitting 2 billion streams on Spotify. This achievement marks a new landmark in her burgeoning career.
Since launching her self-titled debut EP in 2019, Ayra Starr has emerged as one of Nigeria’s biggest musical exports. Notably, she recently released her second album, *The Year I Turned 21*, which has already surpassed 500 million Spotify streams.
According to data from Spotify analytics platform Kworb, Ayra Starr achieved just over 2 billion streams as of October 10, 2024. This impressive feat reflects her growing popularity in the music industry.
Additionally, Ayra Starr has two songs with over 400 million streams. Rvssian’s *Santa*, featuring her, has garnered over 455 million streams, while her hit single *Rush* has accumulated more than 409 million streams. Moreover, the collaboration with Libianca on *People* has reached 106 million streams, and her song *Bloody Samaritan* totals 82 million streams.
With this latest achievement, Ayra Starr joins a prestigious group of Nigerian artists, including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Rema, CKay, Tems, and Davido, who also have over 2 billion Spotify streams across all credits.
Furthermore, 2024 has been a hugely successful year for Ayra Starr. She recently earned four nominations at the 2024 MTV EMAs, competing for Best New Artist, Best African Act, Best Afrobeats Act, and Best Push. She has also hinted at releasing a deluxe version of her sophomore album, which has already seen impressive commercial success.
