The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) councillorship candidate for Rido Ward in Chukun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Esther Richards, has pledged significant transformation and development for the people of the ward if elected into office.
Richards made this declaration during the flag-off of her campaign in Bagado community, where she outlined her vision for progress in the area.
She promised to prioritize total development, governance reforms, and the restoration of the health and education sectors during her tenure.
“For me, the welfare of my people is paramount, and to achieve my aims and objectives, I will need the cooperation of my people. This is why I must do my best to keep my campaign promises,” Richards said.
She highlighted specific areas of need in Bagado community, saying, “The community needs good roads, a functional healthcare center, well-furnished schools for conducive learning, and a market to boost commerce.”
In addition to infrastructural improvements, Richards emphasized the importance of upholding social values. She urged the youth to respect their elders and avoid shortcuts to wealth, stressing that many young people are now neglecting education in pursuit of quick money.
“Our children are no longer interested in school and the pursuit of education,” she lamented. “With the help of the elders in my ward, I intend to instill good manners in these youths once I assume office, by their votes and the grace of God,” she added.
