Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), has sharply criticized President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, suggesting he’s on track to become Nigeria’s “most clueless president.”
Eze’s comments came in response to a recent statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. In his statement, Onanuga suggested that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would have worsened Nigeria’s economic challenges if elected.
Eze argued that the current administration’s “anti-people policies” have led Nigeria into deeper economic hardship, pushing many Nigerians into poverty and despair. He labeled Onanuga’s defense of the administration as misguided, stating it merely served to “justify his pay.”
Eze emphasized that while the Obasanjo/Atiku administration worked to repay national debts, Tinubu’s government relies on borrowing, creating unprecedented hardship for Nigerians. He also accused Tinubu of fostering nepotism by concentrating sensitive positions within one region, which he claims contrasts starkly with previous leadership.
The PDP chieftain concluded that Tinubu’s leadership lacks clear plans or direction, making the administration’s failures unsurprising to Nigerians.
