Rapper Vector Questions African Support for U.S. Elections

By   Milcah    Tanimu

Rapper Vector recently voiced his confusion on X, questioning why many Nigerians and Africans show solidarity with foreign election processes, especially during the ongoing U.S. presidential election. He wrote, “I will never understand Nigerians/Africans who show solidarity with nations that exploit us.”

Some commenters suggested it reflects a lack of trust in local leadership, while others argued U.S. policies impact global politics and economies. Vector responded, emphasizing that the mindset of looking outward rather than inward is a roadblock to local progress. He urged Africans to prioritize growth within their own societies instead of focusing on foreign issues.
