Mayorkun Considers Relocating from Nigeria Amid Economic Hardship

Afrobeats star Emmanuel Adewale, popularly known as Mayorkun, has hinted at the possibility of relocating abroad due to the prevailing economic difficulties in Nigeria.

Taking to his X handle on Monday, the “Mayor of Lagos” hitmaker shared his thoughts on the situation, writing, “I dey reason to japa” (I’m considering relocating).

Mayorkun’s remark has fueled conversations about the growing trend of Nigerian celebrities moving overseas in search of better opportunities.

Over the past decade, notable Nigerian stars such as Banky W, Tacha, Eldee, Dr. Sid, Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Rita Dominic, Uche Jombo, and Emeka Ike have also chosen to settle abroad.
