Apreala Urges Bayelsa Queens to Finish Strong in NWFL Super Six

Amgbare Ekaunkumo, Yenagoa

Chairman Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala is rallying Bayelsa Queens FC to finish the NWFL Super Six with a flourish after the Prosperity Girls battled to a 1-1 draw against Nasarawa Amazons on Sunday.

In a hard-fought clash, Janet Akekoromowei fired Bayelsa Queens ahead in the 56th minute, converting a penalty after Jennifer Oliver’s handball in the six-yard box. Nasarawa Amazons responded, leveling the score on the hour mark to earn a share of the points.

Apreala, unwavering in his belief, urged his squad to seize victories in their remaining three matches. “We’re still in contention,” he said.

“Every game is a challenge, but we’ll approach each one with focus and fight to hit our targets.”
The result keeps Bayelsa Queens in the hunt for the NWFL’s sole championship ticket, but Apreala emphasized that only wins will secure their goal.

“We’re optimistic, but we need to put in the work,” he noted, calling for sharper execution on the pitch.
Led by Coach Christopher Danjuma, the Prosperity Girls showed attacking promise, with Akekoromowei’s penalty a standout moment. Yet, a defensive error allowed Nasarawa’s equalizer, an area Apreala wants addressed.

With three critical games left, Bayelsa Queens are gearing up for a pivotal stretch. “We’re still on course,” Apreala asserted, confident his team can deliver under pressure.

The Prosperity Girls now prepare for their next test, aiming to transform Apreala’s rallying cry into results and keep their NWFL title aspirations alive.
