By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

The FCT Minister Barr Nysome Wike has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support infrastructural development in satellite towns.
Wike made this known on Friday after an inspection of Gwagwalada market- Aguma Palace Road and A2 to Pai road.
“And again, the President has given us all the necessary support. So, there will be no excuses for not performing. So, we’re quite happy that the promise we made has been fulfilled.”
The minister emphasized that Mr. President’s support for satellite town infrastructural development is a show of good leadership.
The minister said, “Mr. President has shown the right leadership. There’s no magic to it. When you have the right leadership, you’re bound to achieve results. “
The minister stated that the good roads and well light streetlights are the ripples of President Tinubu’s way of
Renewing hope of the people.
“And that’s what we’ve assured Nigerians that real hope is not just mere talk. It’s something that has come to stay, something that Nigerians will appreciate.”
Wike said, “We’re happy when the people are happy. When people’s happiness is tied to the government’s performance, it energizes us, telling us that we’re doing the right thing.”
Also, market women and residents at Gwagwalada had come out in their numbers to cheer the FCT minister with shouts of Renewed Hope slogan.

“When we visited Aguma Palace, we saw the enthusiasm of the people there. The market people and residents showed how happy they were. They were shouting, and everything indicates that hope is working.”
The minister equally expressed joy over the quality of streetlights on A2 -Pai road, noting that streetlight is key to fighting insecurity in communities.

“Now, again, we’re in A2 to Pai , You can see that this road, even in a satellite area, has streetlights. I thank God Almighty that we’ve accomplished this.”
He stated that provision of the streetlights will also help in fighting insecurity in communities.

“When people commit offenses, and there are no roads to trace them, it becomes a problem.”

But if you see this kind of road with streetlights, you’ll think twice before committing an offense”, he added.

Meanwhile, the minister has assured that no sector of infrastructural development in the territory will be neglected.
He noted that after commissioning of roads, about 60 schools will be commissioned in the FCT.
“The schools we’ve renovated are innovative and polished. It’s more than 60 schools”, Wike disclosed.
