England head coach Thomas Tuchel has included five Chelsea players in his latest squad selection, with defender Trevoh Chalobah earning his first senior call-up.
According to a statement published on Chelsea FC’s official website on Friday, Chalobah, who has previously represented England at every level from U16 to U21, has now been promoted to the senior team. He joins fellow Blues teammates Reece James, Levi Colwill, Noni Madueke, and Cole Palmer in the national squad.
This marks Tuchel’s second squad announcement since taking over as England manager.
The Three Lions are set to face Andorra in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday, 7 June in Barcelona, before returning home to play Senegal in a friendly at the City Ground on Wednesday, 10 June.
Chelsea also hinted that more of their players could receive international call-ups in the coming days.
