Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has achieved a new career milestone as his fourth studio album, Timeless, has been certified Silver in the United Kingdom.
According to Chart Data, a leading global music sales tracker, the certification comes after the album surpassed 100,000 units sold in the UK — earning Davido the prestigious Silver plaque.
Released on March 31, 2023, Timeless highlights Davido’s musical versatility, fusing Afrobeats with dancehall, reggae, konto, highlife, and Afropop. The 17-track project features collaborations with a range of artists including Asake, Skepta, Dexta Daps, Fave, The Cavemen, and Angelique Kidjo.
The album received both critical acclaim and commercial success, breaking streaming records on platforms like Spotify Nigeria, Boomplay, Audiomack, and YouTube. It also earned Davido a Grammy nomination for Best Global Album, along with a Headies nomination for Song of the Year.
Notably, the hit single Unavailable not only went Silver in the UK but was also nominated for Best African Song Performance at the Grammys. Another track, Feel, earned a nod for Best Global Song Performance.
To promote the album, Davido launched the Timeless Tour — a global concert series that has seen him perform in major cities across North America and Europe, including London, Toronto, Washington D.C., and New York.
The success of Timeless further cements Davido’s reputation as one of Africa’s most influential and internationally recognized music talents.
