Social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has reacted after claiming to have seen a poster bearing the image of Seyi Tinubu during a visit to Morocco.
In a video shared online, the influencer said he was surprised to come across the campaign-style poster while at a hotel bar in the North African country. According to him, the display appeared to be linked to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations but featured Seyi Tinubu’s photograph.
VeryDarkMan questioned why Tinubu’s image would appear outside Nigeria and suggested it pointed to early political ambitions ahead of future elections. He also described the development as a sign of desperation within the All Progressives Congress (APC) over its campaign strategies.
Expressing his disbelief, he said the sighting raised questions about whether Tinubu was involved in football or politics, noting that the presence of his image in such a setting was puzzling.
The video sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some users echoed his concerns, others dismissed the claims, arguing that the poster was merely an advertisement and not politically motivated.
One user wrote, “What APC cannot do does not exist,” while another cautioned against drawing conclusions based on social media speculation. Others argued that featuring a well-known public figure in promotional material does not necessarily amount to political campaigning.
The incident has continued to generate debate online over the interpretation of the poster and the broader implications suggested by the activist.
