Quarter-finalists have emerged in the 2026 Prosperity Cup, Nigeria’s biggest grassroots football tournament, following weeks of competitive action across 30 centres in Bayelsa State.
Okoroma United from Nembe Local Government Area secured a quarter-final ticket after defeating Edi 1 FC of Ayakoro 3–2 on penalties, following a goalless draw in regulation time.
At the Tombia centre, Mountain of the Lord Deliverance Ministry (MLDM FC) also progressed via penalties, beating Mighty-Mighty FC 4–2 after a barren draw.
Kolobiriowei of Bolu-Orua continued their impressive run with a comfortable 2–0 victory over Odi United of Kolokuma/Opokuma.
Azu Arepadei and Israel Ebipade scored in the 27th and 67th minutes respectively to send the Sagbama LGA champions into the quarter-finals at the Golf Pitch, Onopa.
Mountain of Fire Ministry (MFM FC) edged out hard-fighting Eniwari FC 1–0 at the Bishop Dimeari Grammar School centre, with Godday Abraham scoring the only goal in the 28th minute.
Quarter-final action resumes on Thursday, April 30, 2026, across four centres.
Citiboi Feeders will face Izuo Gillette FC of Kpansia at 2:00 p.m. at the Golf Pitch, Onopa, while former champions Krosaders FC of Peretorugbene will battle high-flying NDU Oilers FC at 2:00 p.m. at the Tombia centre.
At the BDGS centre, Brazil FC of Kpansia will take on Akinima/Biogbo of Ogboloma at 2:00 p.m., while Brass LGA champions Igoni FC of Odioama will face Mini FC of Minibie in a Bayelsa East derby at 1:00 p.m. at the Nembe City Stadium.
