Council chairman of Bali local government of Taraba state, Mr. Danfulani Danladi Suntai has condemned in strong terms the activities of political thuggery in Taraba.
The council chairman who was speaking with Daybreak news on the ugly activities of Political thugs in some parts of the state, caution youths, and politician to shun thuggery and politics of bitterness.
Danladi Suntai, said thuggery retard progress in any society and called on the people of Taraba to support the peace mantra of governor Darius Dickson Ishaku to move the state forward and urged the people of Bali, irrespective of their tribal and religious difference to respect the rule of law guarding the country and the state in other to maintain law and order.
He appealed to traditional rulers in Bali to live up to their responsibilities in compelling their subjects to come out en masse during the coming general election to vote leaders that would transform the state and the local government in the interest of development.
Meanwhile, the chief of Garbabe, Kur Saliyu Umar, stress the need for the people of Garbabe to shun speech that is capable of causing political problems in the state.
Kurmi Saliyu urged his subjects to ensure they collect their voters’ card to enable them to vote credible candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
