ZAMFARA PDP GUBER CANDIDATE TO PROVIDE 15m COCONUT PALM OIL SEEDLINGS

Zamfara Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Alhaji Bello Mohammed Matawalle said he will source more than fifteen million palm oil seedlings to promote job creation and add value to food security in the state.

He said as agriculture will form a leading policy in the event he success in his mission, he will ensure that palm oil, being one of the major consumer needs gets a booster in his administration’s policy thrust.

Disclosing this to journalists in Zamfara recently, Matawalle said each of the fourteen local government will be provided with one million seeds as part of his blueprint on youths empowerment and self sustenance economic engagement.

Matawalle expressed concern over prolonged manifesting in youths restiveness, thuggery and various forms of crimes leading to economic stagnation in the state.

He however stressed that exploration and exploitation of various mineral resource deposits abound in many parts of the state will be given special attention as a sure way for economic diversification to reduce over dependence on petroleum resources.

He noted that Zamfara state is divinely enriched with many economic potentials in the different locations of the state.
